83:1
وَيۡلٞ waylun Woe لِّلۡمُطَفِّفِينَ lil'mutaffifina to those who give less ١
waylun lil'mutaffifina
— Transliteration
Woe to Al-Mutaffifin [those who give less in measure and weight (decrease the rights of others]

ٱلَّذِينَ alladhina Those who إِذَا idha when ٱكۡتَالُواْ ik'talu they take a measure عَلَى ala from ٱلنَّاسِ al-nasi the people يَسۡتَوۡفُونَ yastawfuna they take in full ٢
alladhina idha ik'talu ala al-nasi yastawfuna
— Transliteration
Those who, when they have to receive by measure from men, demand full measure

83:3
وَإِذَا wa-idha But when كَالُوهُمۡ kaluhum they give by measure (to) them أَو aw or وَّزَنُوهُمۡ wazanuhum they weigh (for) them يُخۡسِرُونَ yukh'siruna they give less ٣
wa-idha kaluhum aw wazanuhum yukh'siruna
— Transliteration
And when they have to give by measure or weight to men, give less than due

83:4
أَلَا ala Do not يَظُنُّ yazunnu think أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ ulaika those أَنَّهُم annahum that they مَّبۡعُوثُونَ mab'uthuna (will be) resurrected ٤
ala yazunnu ulaika annahum mab'uthuna
— Transliteration
Think they not that they will be resurrected (for reckoning)

لِيَوۡمٍ liyawmin For a Day عَظِيمٖ azimin Great ٥
liyawmin azimin
— Transliteration
On a Great Day

83:6
يَوۡمَ yawma (The) Day يَقُومُ yaqumu will stand ٱلنَّاسُ al-nasu mankind لِرَبِّ lirabbi before (the) Lord ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ al-'alamina (of) the worlds? ٦
yawma yaqumu al-nasu lirabbi al-'alamina
— Transliteration
The Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)

كـَلَّآ kalla Nay! إِنَّ inna Indeed كِتَٰبَ kitaba (the) record ٱلۡفُجَّارِ al-fujari (of) the wicked لَفِي lafi (is) surely in سِجِّينٖ sijjinin Sijjin ٧
kalla inna kitaba al-fujari lafi sijjinin
— Transliteration
Nay! Truly, the Record (writing of the deeds) of the Fujjar (disbelievers, sinners, evil-doers and wicked) is (preserved) in Sijjin

وَمَآ wama And what أَدۡرَىٰكَ adraka can make you know مَا ma what سِجِّينٞ sijjinun (is) Sijjin? ٨
wama adraka ma sijjinun

And what will make you know what Sijjin is

كِتَٰبٞ kitabun A book مَّرۡقُومٞ marqumun written ٩

A Register inscribed

وَيۡلٞ waylun Woe يَوۡمَئِذٖ yawma-idhin that Day لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ lil'mukadhibina to the deniers ١٠

— Transliteration
Woe, that Day, to those who deny [(Allah, His Angels, His Books, His Messengers, the Day of Resurrection, and Al-Qadar (Divine Preordainments]
