61:1
سَبَّحَ sabbaha Glorifies لِلَّهِ lillahi Allah مَا ma whatever فِي fi (is) in ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ al-samawati the heavens وَمَا wama and whatever فِي fi (is) in ٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ al-ardi the earth وَهُوَ wahuwa And He ٱلۡعَزِيزُ al-'azizu (is) the AllMighty ٱلۡحَكِيمُ al-hakimu the AllWise ١
sabbaha lillahi ma fi al-samawati wama fi al-ardi wahuwa al-'azizu al-hakimu
— Transliteration
Whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is on the earth glorifies Allah. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise

61:2
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا yaayyuha O ٱلَّذِينَ alladhina (you) who ءَامَنُواْ amanu believe! لِمَ lima Why تَقُولُونَ taquluna (do) you say مَا ma what لَا la not تَفۡعَلُونَ taf 'aluna you do? ٢
yaayyuha alladhina amanu lima taquluna ma la taf 'aluna
— Transliteration
O you who believe! Why do you say that which you do not do

61:3
كَبُرَ kabura Great is مَقۡتًا maqtan hatred عِندَ inda with ٱللَّهِ al-lahi Allah أَن an that تَقُولُواْ taqulu you say مَا ma what لَا la not تَفۡعَلُونَ taf 'aluna you do? ٣
kabura maqtan inda al-lahi an taqulu ma la taf 'aluna
— Transliteration
Most hateful it is with Allah that you say that which you do not do

61:4
إِنَّ inna Indeed ٱللَّهَ al-laha Allah يُحِبُّ yuhibbu loves ٱلَّذِينَ alladhina those who يُقَٰتِلُونَ yuqatiluna fight فِي fi in سَبِيلِهِۦ sabilihi His Way صَفّٗا saffan (in) a row كَأَنَّهُم ka-annahum as if they بُنۡيَٰنٞ bun'yanun (were) a structure مَّرۡصُوصٞ marsusun joined firmly ٤
inna al-laha yuhibbu alladhina yuqatiluna fi sabilihi saffan ka-annahum bun'yanun marsusun
— Transliteration
Verily, Allah loves those who fight in His Cause in rows (ranks) as if they were a solid structure

61:5
وَإِذۡ wa-idh And when قَالَ qala said مُوسَىٰ musa Musa لِقَوۡمِهِۦ liqawmihi to his people يَٰقَوۡمِ yaqawmi O my people! لِمَ lima Why تُؤۡذُونَنِي tu'dhunani do you hurt me وَقَد waqad while certainly تَّعۡلَمُونَ ta'lamuna you know أَنِّي anni that I am رَسُولُ rasulu (the) Messenger ٱللَّهِ al-lahi (of) Allah إِلَيۡكُمۡۖ ilaykum to you? فَلَمَّا falamma Then when زَاغُوٓاْ zaghu they deviated أَزَاغَ azagha (was caused to) deviate ٱللَّهُ al-lahu (by) Allah قُلُوبَهُمۡۚ qulubahum their hearts وَٱللَّهُ wal-lahu And Allah لَا la (does) not يَهۡدِي yahdi guide ٱلۡقَوۡمَ al-qawma the people ٱلۡفَٰسِقِينَ al-fasiqina the defiantly disobedient ٥
wa-idh qala musa liqawmihi yaqawmi lima tu'dhunani waqad ta'lamuna anni rasulu al-lahi ilaykum falamma zaghu azagha al-lahu qulubahum wal-lahu la yahdi al-qawma al-fasiqina
— Transliteration
And (remember) when Musa (Moses) said to his people: "O my people! Why do you hurt me while you know certainly that I am the Messenger of Allah to you? So when they turned away (from the Path of Allah), Allah turned their hearts away (from the Right Path). And Allah guides not the people who are Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah)

61:6
وَإِذۡ wa-idh And when قَالَ qala said عِيسَى isa Isa ٱبۡنُ ub'nu son مَرۡيَمَ maryama (of) Maryam يَٰبَنِيٓ yabani O Children إِسۡرَٰٓءِيلَ is'raila (of) Israel! إِنِّي inni Indeed I am رَسُولُ rasulu (the) Messenger ٱللَّهِ al-lahi (of) Allah إِلَيۡكُم ilaykum to you مُّصَدِّقٗا musaddiqan confirming لِّمَا lima that which بَيۡنَ bayna (was) between يَدَيَّ yadayya my hands مِنَ mina of ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةِ al-tawrati the Taurat وَمُبَشِّرَۢا wamubashiran and bringing glad tidings بِرَسُولٖ birasulin (of) a Messenger يَأۡتِي yati to come مِنۢ min from بَعۡدِي ba'di after me ٱسۡمُهُۥٓ us'muhu whose name (will be) أَحۡمَدُۖ ahmadu Ahmad فَلَمَّا falamma But when جَآءَهُم jaahum he came to them بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ bil-bayinati with clear proofs قَالُواْ qalu they said هَٰذَا hadha This سِحۡرٞ sih'run (is) a magic مُّبِينٞ mubinun clear ٦
wa-idh qala isa ub'nu maryama yabani is'raila inni rasulu al-lahi ilaykum musaddiqan lima bayna yadayya mina al-tawrati wamubashiran birasulin yati min ba'di us'muhu ahmadu falamma jaahum bil-bayinati qalu hadha sih'run mubinun
— Transliteration
And (remember) when 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), said: "O Children of Israel! I am the Messenger of Allah unto you confirming the Taurat [(Torah) which came] before me, and giving glad tidings of a Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad. But when he (Ahmad i.e. Muhammad SAW) came to them with clear proofs, they said: "This is plain magic

61:7
وَمَنۡ waman And who أَظۡلَمُ azlamu (is) more wrong مِمَّنِ mimmani than (one) who ٱفۡتَرَىٰ if'tara invents عَلَى ala upon ٱللَّهِ al-lahi Allah ٱلۡكَذِبَ al-kadhiba the lie وَهُوَ wahuwa while he يُدۡعَىٰٓ yud'a is invited إِلَى ila to ٱلۡإِسۡلَٰمِۚ al-is'lami Islam? وَٱللَّهُ wal-lahu And Allah لَا la (does) not يَهۡدِي yahdi guide ٱلۡقَوۡمَ al-qawma the people ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ al-zalimina [the] wrongdoers ٧
waman azlamu mimmani if'tara ala al-lahi al-kadhiba wahuwa yud'a ila al-is'lami wal-lahu la yahdi al-qawma al-zalimina
— Transliteration
And who does more wrong than the one who invents a lie against Allah, while he is being invited to Islam? And Allah guides not the people who are Zalimun (polytheists, wrong-doers and disbelievers) folk

61:8
يُرِيدُونَ yuriduna They intend لِيُطۡفِـُٔواْ liyut'fiu to put out نُورَ nura (the) light ٱللَّهِ al-lahi (of) Allah بِأَفۡوَٰهِهِمۡ bi-afwahihim with their mouths وَٱللَّهُ wal-lahu but Allah مُتِمُّ mutimmu will perfect نُورِهِۦ nurihi His Light وَلَوۡ walaw although كَرِهَ kariha dislike ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ al-kafiruna the disbelievers ٨
yuriduna liyut'fiu nura al-lahi bi-afwahihim wal-lahu mutimmu nurihi walaw kariha al-kafiruna
— Transliteration
They intend to put out the Light of Allah (i.e. the religion of Islam, this Quran, and Prophet Muhammad SAW) with their mouths. But Allah will complete His Light even though the disbelievers hate (it)

61:9
هُوَ huwa He ٱلَّذِيٓ alladhi (is) the One Who أَرۡسَلَ arsala sent رَسُولَهُۥ rasulahu His Messenger بِٱلۡهُدَىٰ bil-huda with guidance وَدِينِ wadini and (the) religion ٱلۡحَقِّ al-haqi (of) the truth لِيُظۡهِرَهُۥ liyuz'hirahu to make it prevail عَلَى ala over ٱلدِّينِ al-dini the religion كُلِّهِۦ kullihi all of them وَلَوۡ walaw although كَرِهَ kariha dislike (it) ٱلۡمُشۡرِكُونَ al-mush'rikuna the polytheists ٩
huwa alladhi arsala rasulahu bil-huda wadini al-haqi liyuz'hirahu ala al-dini kullihi walaw kariha al-mush'rikuna
— Transliteration
He it is Who has sent His Messenger (Muhammad SAW) with guidance and the religion of truth (Islamic Monotheism) to make it victorious over all (other) religions even though the Mushrikun (polytheists, pagans, idolaters, and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah and in His Messenger Muhammed SAW) hate (it)

61:10
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا yaayyuha O ٱلَّذِينَ alladhina (you) who ءَامَنُواْ amanu believe! هَلۡ hal Shall أَدُلُّكُمۡ adullukum I guide you عَلَىٰ ala to تِجَٰرَةٖ tijaratin a transaction تُنجِيكُم tunjikum (that) will save you مِّنۡ min from عَذَابٍ adhabin a punishment أَلِيمٖ alimin painful? ١٠
yaayyuha alladhina amanu hal adullukum ala tijaratin tunjikum min adhabin alimin
— Transliteration
O You who believe! Shall I guide you to a commerce that will save you from a painful torment
