82:1
إِذَا idha When ٱلسَّمَآءُ al-samau the sky ٱنفَطَرَتۡ infatarat (is) cleft asunder ١

— Transliteration
When the heaven is cleft asunder

82:2
وَإِذَا wa-idha And when ٱلۡكَوَاكِبُ al-kawakibu the stars ٱنتَثَرَتۡ intatharat scatter ٢
wa-idha al-kawakibu intatharat
— Transliteration
And when the stars have fallen and scattered

82:3
وَإِذَا wa-idha And when ٱلۡبِحَارُ al-biharu the seas فُجِّرَتۡ fujjirat are made to gush forth ٣
wa-idha al-biharu fujjirat
— Transliteration
And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up)

82:4
وَإِذَا wa-idha And when ٱلۡقُبُورُ al-quburu the graves بُعۡثِرَتۡ bu'thirat are overturned ٤
wa-idha al-quburu bu'thirat
— Transliteration
And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents)

82:5
عَلِمَتۡ alimat Will know نَفۡسٞ nafsun a soul مَّا ma what قَدَّمَتۡ qaddamat it has sent forth وَأَخَّرَتۡ wa-akharat and left behind ٥
alimat nafsun ma qaddamat wa-akharat
— Transliteration
(Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds)

82:6
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا yaayyuha O ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ al-insanu man! مَا ma What غَرَّكَ gharraka has deceived you بِرَبِّكَ birabbika concerning your Lord ٱلۡكَرِيمِ al-karimi the Most Noble ٦
yaayyuha al-insanu ma gharraka birabbika al-karimi
— Transliteration
O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous

82:7
ٱلَّذِي alladhi Who خَلَقَكَ khalaqaka created you فَسَوَّىٰكَ fasawwaka then fashioned you فَعَدَلَكَ fa'adalaka then balanced you? ٧
alladhi khalaqaka fasawwaka fa'adalaka
— Transliteration
Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion

82:8
فِيٓ fi In أَيِّ ayyi whatever صُورَةٖ suratin form مَّا ma what شَآءَ shaa He willed رَكَّبَكَ rakkabaka He assembled you ٨
fi ayyi suratin ma shaa rakkabaka
— Transliteration
In whatever form He willed, He put you together

82:9
كـَلَّا kalla Nay! بَلۡ bal But تُكَذِّبُونَ tukadhibuna you deny بِٱلدِّينِ bil-dini the Judgment ٩
kalla bal tukadhibuna bil-dini
— Transliteration
Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds)

82:10
وَإِنَّ wa-inna And indeed عَلَيۡكُمۡ alaykum over you لَحَٰفِظِينَ lahafizina (are) surely guardians ١٠
wa-inna alaykum lahafizina
— Transliteration
But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you
