15:1
الٓرۚ alif-lam-ra Alif Laam Ra تِلۡكَ til'ka These ءَايَٰتُ ayatu (are) the Verses ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ al-kitabi (of) the Book وَقُرۡءَانٖ waqur'anin and Quran مُّبِينٖ mubinin clear ١
alif-lam-ra til'ka ayatu al-kitabi waqur'anin mubinin
— Transliteration
Alif-Lam-Ra. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]. These are the Verses of the Book, and a plain Quran

15:2
رُّبَمَا rubama Perhaps يَوَدُّ yawaddu will wish ٱلَّذِينَ alladhina those who كَفَرُواْ kafaru disbelieved لَوۡ law if كَانُواْ kanu they had been مُسۡلِمِينَ mus'limina Muslims ٢
rubama yawaddu alladhina kafaru law kanu mus'limina
— Transliteration
Perhaps (often) will those who disbelieve wish that they were Muslims [those who have submitted themselves to Allah's Will in Islam Islamic Monotheism, this will be on the Day of Resurrection when they will see the disbelievers going to Hell and the Muslims going to Paradise]

15:3
ذَرۡهُمۡ dharhum Leave them يَأۡكُلُواْ yakulu (to) eat وَيَتَمَتَّعُواْ wayatamatta'u and enjoy وَيُلۡهِهِمُ wayul'hihimu and diverted them ٱلۡأَمَلُۖ al-amalu the hope فَسَوۡفَ fasawfa then soon يَعۡلَمُونَ ya'lamuna they will come to know ٣
dharhum yakulu wayatamatta'u wayul'hihimu al-amalu fasawfa ya'lamuna
— Transliteration
Leave them to eat and enjoy, and let them be preoccupied with (false) hope. They will come to know

15:4
وَمَآ wama And not أَهۡلَكۡنَا ahlakna We destroyed مِن min any قَرۡيَةٍ qaryatin town إِلَّا illa but وَلَهَا walaha (there was) for it كِتَابٞ kitabun a decree مَّعۡلُومٞ ma'lumun known ٤
wama ahlakna min qaryatin illa walaha kitabun ma'lumun
— Transliteration
And never did We destroy a township but there was a known decree for it

15:5
مَّا ma Not تَسۡبِقُ tasbiqu (can) advance مِنۡ min any أُمَّةٍ ummatin nation أَجَلَهَا ajalaha its term وَمَا wama and not يَسۡتَـٔۡخِرُونَ yastakhiruna (can) delay it ٥
ma tasbiqu min ummatin ajalaha wama yastakhiruna
— Transliteration
No nation can anticipate its term, nor delay it

15:6
وَقَالُواْ waqalu And they say يَٰٓأَيُّهَا yaayyuha O you ٱلَّذِي alladhi (to) whom نُزِّلَ nuzzila has been sent down عَلَيۡهِ alayhi [on him] ٱلذِّكۡرُ al-dhik'ru the Reminder إِنَّكَ innaka indeed you لَمَجۡنُونٞ lamajnunun (are) surely mad ٦
waqalu yaayyuha alladhi nuzzila alayhi al-dhik'ru innaka lamajnunun
— Transliteration
And they say: "O you (Muhammad SAW) to whom the Dhikr (the Quran) has been sent down! Verily, you are a mad man

15:7
لَّوۡ law Why مَا ma not تَأۡتِينَا tatina you bring to us بِٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ bil-malaikati the Angels إِن in if كُنتَ kunta you are مِنَ mina of ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ al-sadiqina the truthful? ٧
law ma tatina bil-malaikati in kunta mina al-sadiqina
— Transliteration
Why do you not bring angels to us if you are of the truthful ones

15:8
مَا ma Not نُنَزِّلُ nunazzilu We send down ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ al-malaikata the Angels إِلَّا illa except بِٱلۡحَقِّ bil-haqi with the truth وَمَا wama and not كَانُوٓاْ kanu they would be إِذٗا idhan then مُّنظَرِينَ munzarina given respite ٨
ma nunazzilu al-malaikata illa bil-haqi wama kanu idhan munzarina
— Transliteration
We send not the angels down except with the truth (i.e. for torment, etc.), and in that case, they (the disbelievers) would have no respite

15:9
إِنَّا inna Indeed We نَحۡنُ nahnu We نَزَّلۡنَا nazzalna have sent down ٱلذِّكۡرَ al-dhik'ra the Reminder وَإِنَّا wa-inna and indeed We لَهُۥ lahu of it لَحَٰفِظُونَ lahafizuna (are) surely Guardians ٩
inna nahnu nazzalna al-dhik'ra wa-inna lahu lahafizuna
— Transliteration
Verily We: It is We Who have sent down the Dhikr (i.e. the Quran) and surely, We will guard it (from corruption)

15:10
وَلَقَدۡ walaqad And certainly أَرۡسَلۡنَا arsalna We (had) sent مِن min before you قَبۡلِكَ qablika before you فِي fi in شِيَعِ shiya'i the sects ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ al-awalina (of) the former (people) ١٠
walaqad arsalna min qablika fi shiya'i al-awalina
— Transliteration
Indeed, We sent Messengers before you (O Muhammad SAW) amongst the sects (communities) of old
