43:1
حمٓ ha-meem Ha Meem ١
ha-meem
— Transliteration
Ha-Mim. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings

43:2
وَٱلۡكِتَٰبِ wal-kitabi By the Book ٱلۡمُبِينِ al-mubini the clear ٢
wal-kitabi al-mubini
— Transliteration
By the manifest Book (that makes things clear, i.e. this Quran)

43:3
إِنَّا inna Indeed We جَعَلۡنَٰهُ ja'alnahu (have) made it قُرۡءَٰنًا qur'anan a Quran عَرَبِيّٗا arabiyyan (in) Arabic لَّعَلَّكُمۡ la'allakum so that you may تَعۡقِلُونَ ta'qiluna understand ٣
inna ja'alnahu qur'anan arabiyyan la'allakum ta'qiluna
— Transliteration
We verily, have made it a Quran in Arabic, that you may be able to understand (its meanings and its admonitions)

43:4
وَإِنَّهُۥ wa-innahu And indeed it فِيٓ fi (is) in أُمِّ ummi (the) Mother ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ al-kitabi (of) the Book لَدَيۡنَا ladayna with Us لَعَلِيٌّ la'aliyyun surely exalted حَكِيمٌ hakimun full of wisdom ٤
wa-innahu fi ummi al-kitabi ladayna la'aliyyun hakimun
— Transliteration
And Verily, it (this Quran) is in the Mother of the Book (i.e. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz), before Us, indeed Exalted, full of Wisdom

43:5
أَفَنَضۡرِبُ afanadribu Then should We take away عَنكُمُ ankumu from you ٱلذِّكۡرَ al-dhik'ra the Reminder صَفۡحًا safhan disregarding (you) أَن an because كُنتُمۡ kuntum you are قَوۡمٗا qawman a people مُّسۡرِفِينَ mus'rifina transgressing? ٥
afanadribu ankumu al-dhik'ra safhan an kuntum qawman mus'rifina
— Transliteration
Shall We then (warn you not and) take away the Reminder (this Quran) from you, because you are a people Musrifun

43:6
وَكَمۡ wakam And how many أَرۡسَلۡنَا arsalna We sent مِن min of نَّبِيّٖ nabiyyin a Prophet فِي fi among ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ al-awalina the former (people) ٦
wakam arsalna min nabiyyin fi al-awalina
— Transliteration
And how many a Prophet have We sent amongst the men of old

43:7
وَمَا wama And not يَأۡتِيهِم yatihim came to them مِّن min any Prophet نَّبِيٍّ nabiyyin any Prophet إِلَّا illa but كَانُواْ kanu they used to بِهِۦ bihi mock at him يَسۡتَهۡزِءُونَ yastahziuna mock at him ٧
wama yatihim min nabiyyin illa kanu bihi yastahziuna
— Transliteration
And never came there a Prophet to them but they used to mock at him

43:8
فَأَهۡلَكۡنَآ fa-ahlakna Then We destroyed أَشَدَّ ashadda stronger مِنۡهُم min'hum than them بَطۡشٗا batshan (in) power وَمَضَىٰ wamada and has passed مَثَلُ mathalu (the) example ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ al-awalina (of) the former (people) ٨
fa-ahlakna ashadda min'hum batshan wamada mathalu al-awalina
— Transliteration
Then We destroyed men stronger (in power) than these, and the example of the ancients has passed away (before them)

43:9
وَلَئِن wala-in And if سَأَلۡتَهُم sa-altahum you ask them مَّنۡ man Who خَلَقَ khalaqa created ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ al-samawati the heavens وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ wal-arda and the earth? لَيَقُولُنَّ layaqulunna They will surely say خَلَقَهُنَّ khalaqahunna Created them ٱلۡعَزِيزُ al-'azizu the AllMighty ٱلۡعَلِيمُ al-'alimu the AllKnower ٩
wala-in sa-altahum man khalaqa al-samawati wal-arda layaqulunna khalaqahunna al-'azizu al-'alimu
— Transliteration
And indeed if you ask them, "Who has created the heavens and the earth?" They will surely say: "The All-Mighty, the All-Knower created them

43:10
ٱلَّذِي alladhi The One Who جَعَلَ ja'ala made لَكُمُ lakumu for you ٱلۡأَرۡضَ al-arda the earth مَهۡدٗا mahdan a bed وَجَعَلَ waja'ala and made لَكُمۡ lakum for you فِيهَا fiha therein سُبُلٗا subulan roads لَّعَلَّكُمۡ la'allakum so that you may تَهۡتَدُونَ tahtaduna (be) guided ١٠
alladhi ja'ala lakumu al-arda mahdan waja'ala lakum fiha subulan la'allakum tahtaduna
— Transliteration
Who has made for you the earth like a bed, and has made for you roads therein, in order that you may find your way

Az Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold)
