77:1

وَٱلۡمُرۡسَلَٰتِ wal-mur'salati By the ones sent forth عُرۡفٗا ur'fan one after another ١

wal-mur'salati ur'fan
— Transliteration

By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another
— English - Hilali & Khan

77:2

فَٱلۡعَٰصِفَٰتِ fal-'asifati And the winds that blow عَصۡفٗا asfan violently ٢

fal-'asifati asfan
— Transliteration

And by the winds that blow violently
— English - Hilali & Khan

77:3

وَٱلنَّٰشِرَٰتِ wal-nashirati And the ones that scatter نَشۡرٗا nashran far and wide ٣

wal-nashirati nashran
— Transliteration

And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain
— English - Hilali & Khan

77:4

فَٱلۡفَٰرِقَٰتِ fal-fariqati And those who separate فَرۡقٗا farqan (by the) Criterion ٤

fal-fariqati farqan
— Transliteration

And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong

77:5

فَٱلۡمُلۡقِيَٰتِ fal-mul'qiyati And those who bring down ذِكۡرًا dhik'ran (the) Reminder ٥

fal-mul'qiyati dhik'ran
— Transliteration

And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers
— English - Hilali & Khan

77:6

عُذۡرًا udh'ran (As) justification أَوۡ aw or نُذۡرًا nudh'ran warning ٦

udh'ran aw nudh'ran
— Transliteration

To cut off all excuses or to warn
— English - Hilali & Khan

77:7

إِنَّمَا innama Indeed what تُوعَدُونَ tu'aduna you are promised لَوَٰقِعٞ lawaqi'un will surely occur ٧

innama tu'aduna lawaqi'un
— Transliteration

Surely, what you are promised must come to pass

77:8

فَإِذَا fa-idha So when ٱلنُّجُومُ al-nujumu the stars طُمِسَتۡ tumisat are obliterated ٨

fa-idha al-nujumu tumisat
— Transliteration

Then when the stars lose their lights
— English - Hilali & Khan

77:9

وَإِذَا wa-idha And when ٱلسَّمَآءُ al-samau the heaven فُرِجَتۡ furijat is cleft asunder ٩

wa-idha al-samau furijat
— Transliteration

And when the heaven is cleft asunder
— English - Hilali & Khan

77:10

وَإِذَا wa-idha And when ٱلۡجِبَالُ al-jibalu the mountains نُسِفَتۡ nusifat are blown away ١٠

wa-idha al-jibalu nusifat
— Transliteration

And when the mountains are blown away
