54:1
ٱقۡتَرَبَتِ iq'tarabati Has come near ٱلسَّاعَةُ al-sa'atu the Hour وَٱنشَقَّ wa-inshaqqa and has split ٱلۡقَمَرُ al-qamaru the moon ١
iq'tarabati al-sa'atu wa-inshaqqa al-qamaru
— Transliteration
The Hour has drawn near, and the moon has been cleft asunder (the people of Makkah requested Prophet Muhammad SAW to show them a miracle, so he showed them the splitting of the moon)

54:2
وَإِن wa-in And if يَرَوۡاْ yaraw they see ءَايَةٗ ayatan a Sign يُعۡرِضُواْ yu'ridu they turn away وَيَقُولُواْ wayaqulu and say سِحۡرٞ sih'run Magic مُّسۡتَمِرّٞ mus'tamirrun continuing ٢
wa-in yaraw ayatan yu'ridu wayaqulu sih'run mus'tamirrun
— Transliteration
And if they see a sign, they turn away, and say: "This is continuous magic

54:3
وَكَذَّبُواْ wakadhabu And they denied وَٱتَّبَعُوٓاْ wa-ittaba'u and followed أَهۡوَآءَهُمۡۚ ahwaahum their desires وَكُلُّ wakullu but (for) every أَمۡرٖ amrin matter مُّسۡتَقِرّٞ mus'taqirrun (will be a) settlement ٣
wakadhabu wa-ittaba'u ahwaahum wakullu amrin mus'taqirrun
— Transliteration
They belied (the Verses of Allah, this Quran), and followed their own lusts. And every matter will be settled [according to the kind of deeds (for the doer of good deeds, his deeds will take him to Paradise, and similarly evil deeds will take their doers to Hell]

54:4
وَلَقَدۡ walaqad And certainly جَآءَهُم jaahum has come to them مِّنَ mina of ٱلۡأَنۢبَآءِ al-anbai the information مَا ma wherein فِيهِ fihi wherein مُزۡدَجَرٌ muz'dajarun (is) deterrence ٤
walaqad jaahum mina al-anbai ma fihi muz'dajarun
— Transliteration
And indeed there has come to them news (in this Quran) wherein there is (enough warning) to check (them from evil)

54:5
حِكۡمَةُۢ hik'matun Wisdom بَٰلِغَةٞۖ balighatun perfect فَمَا fama but not تُغۡنِ tugh'ni will avail ٱلنُّذُرُ al-nudhuru the warnings ٥
hik'matun balighatun fama tugh'ni al-nudhuru
— Transliteration
Perfect wisdom (this Quran), but (the preaching of) warners benefit them not

54:6
فَتَوَلَّ fatawalla So turn away عَنۡهُمۡۘ anhum from them يَوۡمَ yawma (The) Day يَدۡعُ yad'u will call ٱلدَّاعِ al-da'i the caller إِلَىٰ ila to شَيۡءٖ shayin a thing نُّكُرٍ nukurin terrible ٦
fatawalla anhum yawma yad'u al-da'i ila shayin nukurin
— Transliteration
So (O Muhammad SAW) withdraw from them. The Day that the caller will call (them) to a terrible thing

54:7
خُشَّعًا khusha'an (Will be) humbled أَبۡصَٰرُهُمۡ absaruhum their eyes يَخۡرُجُونَ yakhrujuna they will come forth مِنَ mina from ٱلۡأَجۡدَاثِ al-ajdathi the graves كَأَنَّهُمۡ ka-annahum as if they (were) جَرَادٞ jaradun locusts مُّنتَشِرٞ muntashirun spreading ٧
khusha'an absaruhum yakhrujuna mina al-ajdathi ka-annahum jaradun muntashirun
— Transliteration
They will come forth, with humbled eyes from (their) graves as if they were locusts spread abroad

54:8
مُّهۡطِعِينَ muh'ti'ina Racing ahead إِلَى ila towards ٱلدَّاعِۖ al-da'i the caller يَقُولُ yaqulu Will say ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ al-kafiruna the disbelievers هَٰذَا hadha This يَوۡمٌ yawmun (is) a Day عَسِرٞ asirun difficult ٨
muh'ti'ina ila al-da'i yaqulu al-kafiruna hadha yawmun asirun
— Transliteration
Hastening towards the caller, the disbelievers will say: "This is a hard Day

54:9
۞كَذَّبَتۡ kadhabat Denied قَبۡلَهُمۡ qablahum before them قَوۡمُ qawmu (the) people نُوحٖ nuhin (of) Nuh فَكَذَّبُواْ fakadhabu and they denied عَبۡدَنَا abdana Our slave وَقَالُواْ waqalu and said مَجۡنُونٞ majnunun A madman وَٱزۡدُجِرَ wa-uz'dujira and he was repelled ٩
kadhabat qablahum qawmu nuhin fakadhabu abdana waqalu majnunun wa-uz'dujira
— Transliteration
The people of Nuh (Noah) denied (their Messenger) before them, they rejected Our slave, and said: "A madman!" and he was insolently rebuked and threatened

54:10
فَدَعَا fada'a So he called رَبَّهُۥٓ rabbahu his Lord أَنِّي anni I am مَغۡلُوبٞ maghlubun one overpowered فَٱنتَصِرۡ fa-intasir so help ١٠
fada'a rabbahu anni maghlubun fa-intasir
— Transliteration
Then he invoked his Lord (saying): "I have been overcome, so help (me)
