67:1
تَبَٰرَكَ tabaraka Blessed is ٱلَّذِي alladhi He بِيَدِهِ biyadihi in Whose Hand ٱلۡمُلۡكُ al-mul'ku (is) the Dominion وَهُوَ wahuwa and He عَلَىٰ ala (is) over كُلِّ kulli every شَيۡءٖ shayin thing قَدِيرٌ qadirun AllPowerful ١
tabaraka alladhi biyadihi al-mul'ku wahuwa ala kulli shayin qadirun
— Transliteration
Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion, and He is Able to do all things

67:2
ٱلَّذِي alladhi The One Who خَلَقَ khalaqa created ٱلۡمَوۡتَ al-mawta death وَٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ wal-hayata and life لِيَبۡلُوَكُمۡ liyabluwakum that He may test you أَيُّكُمۡ ayyukum which of you أَحۡسَنُ ahsanu (is) best عَمَلٗاۚ amalan (in) deed وَهُوَ wahuwa And He ٱلۡعَزِيزُ al-'azizu (is) the AllMighty ٱلۡغَفُورُ al-ghafuru the OftForgiving ٢
alladhi khalaqa al-mawta wal-hayata liyabluwakum ayyukum ahsanu amalan wahuwa al-'azizu al-ghafuru
— Transliteration
Who has created death and life, that He may test you which of you is best in deed. And He is the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving

67:3
ٱلَّذِي alladhi The One Who خَلَقَ khalaqa created سَبۡعَ sab'a seven سَمَٰوَٰتٖ samawatin heavens طِبَاقٗاۖ tibaqan one above another مَّا ma Not تَرَىٰ tara you see فِي fi in خَلۡقِ khalqi (the) creation ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ al-rahmani (of) the Most Gracious مِن min any تَفَٰوُتٖۖ tafawutin fault فَٱرۡجِعِ fa-ir'ji'i So return ٱلۡبَصَرَ al-basara the vision هَلۡ hal can تَرَىٰ tara you see مِن min any فُطُورٖ futurin flaw? ٣
alladhi khalaqa sab'a samawatin tibaqan ma tara fi khalqi al-rahmani min tafawutin fa-ir'ji'i al-basara hal tara min futurin
— Transliteration
Who has created the seven heavens one above another, you can see no fault in the creations of the Most Beneficent. Then look again: "Can you see any rifts

67:4
ثُمَّ thumma Then ٱرۡجِعِ ir'ji'i return ٱلۡبَصَرَ al-basara the vision كَرَّتَيۡنِ karratayni twice (again) يَنقَلِبۡ yanqalib Will return إِلَيۡكَ ilayka to you ٱلۡبَصَرُ al-basaru the vision خَاسِئٗا khasi-an humbled وَهُوَ wahuwa while it حَسِيرٞ hasirun (is) fatigued ٤
thumma ir'ji'i al-basara karratayni yanqalib ilayka al-basaru khasi-an wahuwa hasirun
— Transliteration
Then look again and yet again, your sight will return to you in a state of humiliation and worn out

67:5
وَلَقَدۡ walaqad And certainly زَيَّنَّا zayyanna We have beautified ٱلسَّمَآءَ al-samaa the heaven ٱلدُّنۡيَا al-dun'ya nearest بِمَصَٰبِيحَ bimasabiha with lamps وَجَعَلۡنَٰهَا waja'alnaha and We have made them رُجُومٗا rujuman (as) missiles لِّلشَّيَٰطِينِۖ lilshayatini for the devils وَأَعۡتَدۡنَا wa-a'tadna and We have prepared لَهُمۡ lahum for them عَذَابَ adhaba punishment ٱلسَّعِيرِ al-sa'iri (of) the Blaze ٥
walaqad zayyanna al-samaa al-dun'ya bimasabiha waja'alnaha rujuman lilshayatini wa-a'tadna lahum adhaba al-sa'iri
— Transliteration
And indeed We have adorned the nearest heaven with lamps, and We have made such lamps (as) missiles to drive away the Shayatin (devils), and have prepared for them the torment of the blazing Fire

67:6
وَلِلَّذِينَ walilladhina And for those who كَفَرُواْ kafaru disbelieved بِرَبِّهِمۡ birabbihim in their Lord عَذَابُ adhabu (is the) punishment جَهَنَّمَۖ jahannama (of) Hell وَبِئۡسَ wabi'sa and wretched is ٱلۡمَصِيرُ al-masiru the destination ٦
walilladhina kafaru birabbihim adhabu jahannama wabi'sa al-masiru
— Transliteration
And for those who disbelieve in their Lord (Allah) is the torment of Hell, and worst indeed is that destination

67:7
إِذَآ idha When أُلۡقُواْ ul'qu they are thrown فِيهَا fiha therein سَمِعُواْ sami'u they will hear لَهَا laha from it شَهِيقٗا shahiqan an inhaling وَهِيَ wahiya while it تَفُورُ tafuru boils up ٧
idha ul'qu fiha sami'u laha shahiqan wahiya tafuru
— Transliteration
When they are cast therein, they will hear the (terrible) drawing in of its breath as it blazes forth

67:8
تَكَادُ takadu It almost تَمَيَّزُ tamayyazu bursts مِنَ mina from ٱلۡغَيۡظِۖ al-ghayzi rage كُلَّمَآ kullama Every time أُلۡقِيَ ul'qiya is thrown فِيهَا fiha therein فَوۡجٞ fawjun a group سَأَلَهُمۡ sa-alahum (will) ask them خَزَنَتُهَآ khazanatuha its keepers أَلَمۡ alam Did not يَأۡتِكُمۡ yatikum come to you نَذِيرٞ nadhirun a warner? ٨
takadu tamayyazu mina al-ghayzi kullama ul'qiya fiha fawjun sa-alahum khazanatuha alam yatikum nadhirun
— Transliteration
It almost bursts up with fury. Every time a group is cast therein, its keeper will ask: "Did no warner come to you

67:9
قَالُواْ qalu They will say بَلَىٰ bala Yes قَدۡ qad indeed جَآءَنَا jaana came to us نَذِيرٞ nadhirun a warner فَكَذَّبۡنَا fakadhabna but we denied وَقُلۡنَا waqul'na and we said مَا ma Not نَزَّلَ nazzala has sent down ٱللَّهُ al-lahu Allah مِن min any شَيۡءٍ shayin thing إِنۡ in Not أَنتُمۡ antum you (are) إِلَّا illa but فِي fi in ضَلَٰلٖ dalalin error كَبِيرٖ kabirin great ٩
qalu bala qad jaana nadhirun fakadhabna waqul'na ma nazzala al-lahu min shayin in antum illa fi dalalin kabirin
— Transliteration
They will say: "Yes indeed; a warner did come to us, but we belied him and said: 'Allah never sent down anything (of revelation), you are only in great error

67:10
وَقَالُواْ waqalu And they will say لَوۡ law If كُنَّا kunna we had نَسۡمَعُ nasma'u listened أَوۡ aw or نَعۡقِلُ na'qilu reasoned مَا ma not كُنَّا kunna we (would) have been فِيٓ fi among أَصۡحَٰبِ ashabi (the) companions ٱلسَّعِيرِ al-sa'iri (of) the Blaze ١٠
waqalu law kunna nasma'u aw na'qilu ma kunna fi ashabi al-sa'iri
— Transliteration
And they will say: "Had we but listened or used our intelligence, we would not have been among the dwellers of the blazing Fire
