الصَّمَدُٱلصَّمَدُl-ṣamaduthe Eternal the Absoluteاللَّهُٱللَّهُal-lahuAllah
A revelation from Him (Allah) Who has created the earth and high heavens — English - Hilali & Khan
20:5
ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُal-rahmanuThe Most Graciousعَلَىalaoverٱلۡعَرۡشِal-'arshithe Throneٱسۡتَوَىٰis'tawais established٥
al-rahmanu ala al-'arshi is'tawa — Transliteration
The Most Beneficent (Allah) Istawa (rose over) the (Mighty) Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty) — English - Hilali & Khan
20:6
لَهُۥlahuTo Him (belongs)مَاmawhateverفِيfi(is) inٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِal-samawatithe heavensوَمَاwamaand whateverفِيfi(is) inٱلۡأَرۡضِal-ardithe earthوَمَاwamaand whateverبَيۡنَهُمَاbaynahuma(is) between themوَمَاwamaand whateverتَحۡتَtahta(is) underٱلثَّرَىٰal-tharathe soil٦
lahu ma fi al-samawati wama fi al-ardi wama baynahuma wama tahta al-thara — Transliteration
To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth, and all that is between them, and all that is under the soil — English - Hilali & Khan
20:7
وَإِنwa-inAnd ifتَجۡهَرۡtajharyou speak aloudبِٱلۡقَوۡلِbil-qawlithe wordفَإِنَّهُۥfa-innahuthen indeed Heيَعۡلَمُya'lamuknowsٱلسِّرَّal-sirathe secretوَأَخۡفَىwa-akhfaand the more hidden٧
And if you (O Muhammad SAW) speak (the invocation) aloud, then verily, He knows the secret and that which is yet more hidden — English - Hilali & Khan
20:8
ٱللَّهُal-lahuAllah لَآla(there is) noإِلَٰهَilahagodإِلَّاillaexceptهُوَۖhuwaHimلَهُlahuTo Him (belong)ٱلۡأَسۡمَآءُal-asmauthe Namesٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰal-hus'nathe Most Beautiful٨
al-lahu la ilaha illa huwa lahu al-asmau al-hus'na — Transliteration
Allah! La ilahla illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He)! To Him belong the Best Names — English - Hilali & Khan
20:9
وَهَلۡwahalAnd hasأَتَىٰكَatakacome to youحَدِيثُhadithuthe narrationمُوسَىٰٓmusa(of) Musa?٩
wahal ataka hadithu musa — Transliteration
And has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses) — English - Hilali & Khan
20:10
إِذۡidhWhenرَءَاraahe sawنَارٗاnarana fireفَقَالَfaqalathen he saidلِأَهۡلِهِli-ahlihito his familyٱمۡكُثُوٓاْum'kuthuStay hereإِنِّيٓinniindeed Iءَانَسۡتُanastu[I] perceivedنَارٗاnarana fireلَّعَلِّيٓla'alliperhaps I (can)ءَاتِيكُمatikumbring youمِّنۡهَاmin'hatherefromبِقَبَسٍbiqabasina burning brandأَوۡaworأَجِدُajiduI findعَلَىalaatٱلنَّارِal-narithe fireهُدٗىhudanguidance١٠
idh raa naran faqala li-ahlihi um'kuthu inni anastu naran la'alli atikum min'ha biqabasin aw ajidu ala al-nari hudan — Transliteration
When he saw a fire, he said to his family: "Wait! Verily, I have seen a fire, perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire — English - Hilali & Khan
