الصَّمَدُٱلصَّمَدُl-ṣamaduthe Eternal the Absoluteاللَّهُٱللَّهُal-lahuAllah
When the hypocrites come to you (O Muhammad SAW), they say: "We bear witness that you are indeed the Messenger of Allah." Allah knows that you are indeed His Messenger and Allah bears witness that the hypocrites are liars indeed — English - Hilali & Khan
63:2
ٱتَّخَذُوٓاْittakhadhuThey takeأَيۡمَٰنَهُمۡaymanahumtheir oathsجُنَّةٗjunnatan(as) a coverفَصَدُّواْfasadduso they turn awayعَنanfromسَبِيلِsabili(the) Wayٱللَّهِۚal-lahi(of) AllahإِنَّهُمۡinnahumIndeed [they]سَآءَsaaevil isمَاmawhatكَانُواْkanuthey used toيَعۡمَلُونَya'malunado٢
ittakhadhu aymanahum junnatan fasaddu an sabili al-lahi innahum saa ma kanu ya'maluna — Transliteration
They have made their oaths a screen (for their hypocrisy). Thus they hinder (men) from the Path of Allah. Verily, evil is what they used to do — English - Hilali & Khan
63:3
ذَٰلِكَdhalikaThatبِأَنَّهُمۡbi-annahum(is) becauseءَامَنُواْamanuthey believedثُمَّthummathenكَفَرُواْkafaruthey disbelievedفَطُبِعَfatubi'aso were sealedعَلَىٰala[upon]قُلُوبِهِمۡqulubihimtheir heartsفَهُمۡfahumso theyلَاla(do) notيَفۡقَهُونَyafqahunaunderstand٣
dhalika bi-annahum amanu thumma kafaru fatubi'a ala qulubihim fahum la yafqahuna — Transliteration
That is because they believed, then disbelieved, therefore their hearts are sealed, so they understand not — English - Hilali & Khan
63:4
۞وَإِذَاwa-idhaAnd whenرَأَيۡتَهُمۡra-aytahumyou see themتُعۡجِبُكَtu'jibukapleases youأَجۡسَامُهُمۡۖajsamuhumtheir bodiesوَإِنwa-inand ifيَقُولُواْyaquluthey speakتَسۡمَعۡtasma'you listenلِقَوۡلِهِمۡۖliqawlihimto their speechكَأَنَّهُمۡka-annahumas if they (were)خُشُبٞkhushubunpieces of woodمُّسَنَّدَةٞۖmusannadatunpropped upيَحۡسَبُونَyahsabunaThey thinkكُلَّkullaeveryصَيۡحَةٍsayhatinshoutعَلَيۡهِمۡۚalayhim(is) against themهُمُhumuTheyٱلۡعَدُوُّal-'aduwu(are) the enemyفَٱحۡذَرۡهُمۡۚfa-ih'dharhumso beware of themقَٰتَلَهُمُqatalahumuMay destroy themٱللَّهُۖal-lahuAllah!أَنَّىٰannaHowيُؤۡفَكُونَyu'fakunaare they deluded?٤
And when you look at them, their bodies please you; and when they speak, you listen to their words. They are as blocks of wood propped up. They think that every cry is against them. They are the enemies, so beware of them. May Allah curse them! How are they denying (or deviating from) the Right Path — English - Hilali & Khan

63:5
وَإِذَاwa-idhaAnd whenقِيلَqilait is saidلَهُمۡlahumto themتَعَالَوۡاْta'alawComeيَسۡتَغۡفِرۡyastaghfirwill ask forgivenessلَكُمۡlakumfor youرَسُولُrasulu(the) Messengerٱللَّهِal-lahi(of) AllahلَوَّوۡاْlawwawThey turn asideرُءُوسَهُمۡruusahumtheir headsوَرَأَيۡتَهُمۡwara-aytahumand you see themيَصُدُّونَyasuddunaturning awayوَهُمwahumwhile theyمُّسۡتَكۡبِرُونَmus'takbiruna(are) arrogant٥
And when it is said to them: "Come, so that the Messenger of Allah may ask forgiveness from Allah for you", they turn aside their heads, and you would see them turning away their faces in pride — English - Hilali & Khan
63:6
سَوَآءٌsawaon(It) is sameعَلَيۡهِمۡalayhimfor themأَسۡتَغۡفَرۡتَastaghfartawhether you ask forgivenessلَهُمۡlahumfor themأَمۡamorلَمۡlam(do) notتَسۡتَغۡفِرۡtastaghfirask forgivenessلَهُمۡlahumfor themلَنlanNeverيَغۡفِرَyaghfirawill forgiveٱللَّهُal-lahuAllahلَهُمۡۚlahum[to] themإِنَّinnaIndeedٱللَّهَal-lahaAllahلَاla(does) notيَهۡدِيyahdiguideٱلۡقَوۡمَal-qawmathe peopleٱلۡفَٰسِقِينَal-fasiqinathe defiantly disobedient٦
sawaon alayhim astaghfarta lahum am lam tastaghfir lahum lan yaghfira al-lahu lahum inna al-laha la yahdi al-qawma al-fasiqina — Transliteration
It is equal to them whether you (Muhammad SAW) ask forgiveness or ask not forgiveness for them. Verily, Allah guides not the people who are the Fasiqin (rebellious, disobedient to Allah) — English - Hilali & Khan
63:7
هُمُhumuTheyٱلَّذِينَalladhina(are) those whoيَقُولُونَyaqulunasayلَاla(Do) notتُنفِقُواْtunfiquspendعَلَىٰalaonمَنۡman(those) whoعِندَinda(are) withرَسُولِrasuli(the) Messengerٱللَّهِal-lahi(of) Allahحَتَّىٰhattauntilيَنفَضُّواْۗyanfadduthey disbandوَلِلَّهِwalillahiAnd for Allahخَزَآئِنُkhazainu(are the) treasuresٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِal-samawati(of) the heavensوَٱلۡأَرۡضِwal-ardiand the earthوَلَٰكِنَّwalakinnabutٱلۡمُنَٰفِقِينَal-munafiqinathe hypocritesلَاla(do) notيَفۡقَهُونَyafqahunaunderstand٧
humu alladhina yaquluna la tunfiqu ala man inda rasuli al-lahi hatta yanfaddu walillahi khazainu al-samawati wal-ardi walakinna al-munafiqina la yafqahuna — Transliteration
They are the ones who say: "Spend not on those who are with Allah's Messenger, until they desert him." And to Allah belong the treasures of the heavens and the earth, but the hypocrites comprehend not — English - Hilali & Khan
63:8
يَقُولُونَyaqulunaThey sayلَئِنla-inIfرَّجَعۡنَآraja'nawe returnإِلَىilatoٱلۡمَدِينَةِal-madinatiAlMadinahلَيُخۡرِجَنَّlayukh'rijannasurely will expelٱلۡأَعَزُّal-a'azuthe more honorableمِنۡهَاmin'hafrom itٱلۡأَذَلَّۚal-adhalathe more humbleوَلِلَّهِwalillahiBut for Allahٱلۡعِزَّةُal-'izatu(is) the honorوَلِرَسُولِهِۦwalirasulihiand for His Messengerوَلِلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَwalil'mu'mininaand for the believersوَلَٰكِنَّwalakinnabutٱلۡمُنَٰفِقِينَal-munafiqinathe hypocritesلَاla(do) notيَعۡلَمُونَya'lamunaknow٨
yaquluna la-in raja'na ila al-madinati layukh'rijanna al-a'azu min'ha al-adhala walillahi al-'izatu walirasulihi walil'mu'minina walakinna al-munafiqina la ya'lamuna — Transliteration
They (hyprocrites) say: "If we return to Al-Madinah, indeed the more honourable ('Abdullah bin Ubai bin Salul, the chief of hyprocrites at Al-Madinah) will expel therefrom the meaner (i.e. Allah's Messenger SAW)." But honour, power and glory belong to Allah, His Messenger (Muhammad SAW), and to the believers, but the hypocrites know not — English - Hilali & Khan
yaayyuha alladhina amanu la tul'hikum amwalukum wala awladukum an dhik'ri al-lahi waman yaf 'al dhalika fa-ulaika humu al-khasiruna — Transliteration
O you who believe! Let not your properties or your children divert you from the remembrance of Allah. And whosoever does that, then they are the losers — English - Hilali & Khan
63:10
وَأَنفِقُواْwa-anfiquAnd spendمِنminfromمَّاmawhatرَزَقۡنَٰكُمrazaqnakumWe have provided youمِّنminfromقَبۡلِqablibeforeأَنan[that]يَأۡتِيَyatiyacomesأَحَدَكُمُahadakumu(to) one of youٱلۡمَوۡتُal-mawtuthe deathفَيَقُولَfayaqulaand he saysرَبِّrabbiMy Lord!لَوۡلَآlawlaWhy notأَخَّرۡتَنِيٓakhartaniYou delay meإِلَىٰٓilaforأَجَلٖajalina termقَرِيبٖqaribinnearفَأَصَّدَّقَfa-assaddaqaso I would give charityوَأَكُنwa-akunand beمِّنَminaamongٱلصَّٰلِحِينَal-salihinathe righteous١٠
wa-anfiqu min ma razaqnakum min qabli an yatiya ahadakumu al-mawtu fayaqula rabbi lawla akhartani ila ajalin qaribin fa-assaddaqa wa-akun mina al-salihina — Transliteration
And spend (in charity) of that with which We have provided you, before death comes to one of you and he says: "My Lord! If only You would give me respite for a little while (i.e. return to the worldly life), then I should give Sadaqah (i.e. Zakat) of my wealth, and be among the righteous [i.e. perform Hajj (pilgrimage to Makkah] — English - Hilali & Khan
